The New Twitter

On Tuesday, September 14th, Twitter released a post on their blog introducing “a better twitter.” Their staff has made some changes in the areas of design, media, related content, and profiles. One of the biggest changes that Twitter is boasting is that there will no longer be a 140 character limit on tweets.

As a frequent Twitter user, I think that I will ultimately be happy about the changes that are being made. However, I also think that many of these changes are going to make Twitter more like a blog, as opposed to the quick text messaging-like service it provides now. I’ll continue to use Twitter and adapt to the changes just the same as any other social networking site, but I might delete my Tumblr account in the process.
